Finn Harps to have home game shown live on RTÉ

Finn Park is set to feature in a live TV game for only the third time in history.

On Monday-week, August 21, Harps’ home game against Cork City – originally scheduled for last month but postponed due to Cork’s involvement in the Europa League – will be shown live on RTÉ2.

To facilitate the live coverage of the fixture, the kick-off time has been moved forward from 8pm and will now kick-off at 7.15pm.

It will be the first time since a First Division clash against Athlone Town in November 2007 (a 1-1 draw) that the Ballybofey venue will host a live TV game. The only time before that for Finn Park to host live television was the 1998 FAI Cup semi-final against Shelbourne, which finished in a 0-0 draw.
