A young Letterkenny boy is on the way to becoming a bit of a television celebrity.

Kade Gilchrist is one of four boys nationally selected to star in a new RTE TV programme.

The seven-year-old will take part in the new show ‘The One Where Kids Talk.’

Kade is the son of Danielle & Giles Gilchrist, Letterkenny.

Kade is a student of the Karen Gorman Academy of Speech & Drama and Casting Agency.

He was awarded top marks in two exams this year & lights up any room he enters with his most endearing personality!

Karen says RTE certainly made a very wise choice in Kade.

“With all this at only 7 years old, the world certainly is his oyster,” she said.

As part of Kade’s selection process, he was asked how he would make someone happy. Kade said to make someone feel happy, he’d tell them some jokes.

RTE rang mum Danielle last week to offer Kade the job! Kade filmed an Arts & Craft segment about Space. No presenter, just the kids talking amongst themselves. With Kade’s confidence & infectious personality, this was an easy task!

The show will start in October and all eyes will be on RTE to catch a glimpse of this rising star.
