THE WAILIN BANSHEES are the newest arrivals to the music scene this year, so who are the Banshees and why have they been causing such a stir and interest lately.

The band all hail from Strabane and were formed when 2 former members of The Whiskey Preachers Eamonn ‘Sticks’ Doherty and Sean Gillespie expanded and joined forces with Gavin Kelly and Shaun McGinley. Things have kicked off at a rapid pace for the lads with massive interest from agents around the country and popularity has grown so quickly.

Members include, Eamonn Sticks Doherty a well-known Trad Folk performer with a wealth of experience travelling worldwide and playing with many bands over 25 years.

Gav Kelly the livewire of the band brings his qualities with rock and contemporary songs to the fore and has been known to dance lol.

Sean Gillespie having learned drums from his father Joe a well-known musician at the age of 9 and also a top Trad performer and finally the backbone Shaun McGinley another vastly experienced musician of over 30 years and well-travelled performer concludes the line-up.

The Banshees bring a fusion of Irish Trad with Folk songs and Rock to Popular Genres…a unique highly energetic gig with their own twist on songs..from The Pogues, Waterboys, U2, Ed Sheeran, Bob Dylan, Lumineers, Fureys, Christy Moore & Sawdoctors …. Already the lads are well booked from the Harp n Fiddle Strabane to Time Cookstown to Omagh Maghera Portglenone Derry Glenties Magherafelt Dungiven Pomeroy Letterkenny Dungloe and many other venues so be sure and try and catch them and you’ll be in for a treat…the near future promises to bring videos and cds within the lads plan Gav Kelly – vocals, guitar, harmonica, lead guitar Éamonn sticks Doherty – vocals, banjo, bouzouki, whistles Sean Gillespie – drums, bodhran, whistles Shaun McGinley – vocals, bass

The Foyle Showband is an all action packed band. Boasting a fantastic brass section. This unique showband spreads its wings around the country and further a field. Their music spans from Elvis Presley to Garth Brooks, Olly Murs to Brendan Bowyer, Tom Jones to Joe Dolan and much more – You will have you dancing from start to finish.

T&C’s All events are configured in tables of 8, 9, 10 or 11. Single tickets can be purchased but please note you will be allocated a table with other guests. Children are not permitted at the Christmas Party Night. 30 euro deposit required for non-residents wishing to book any event.
