A Go Fund Me page in aid of the Burnfoot flooding victims has raised more than €1,000 to help devastated families of the disaster.

The fund was set up by local Aileach Football Club and other organisations.

Chairman of Aileach FC, Stephen O’Donnell, said those hit by the storm have nothing.

“We have set up a fund to help support the victims of the flooding in the Burnfoot and surrounding area. These people have been left with no home and the contents of their homes have been destroyed.

“They were unable to get insurance as they were in an area the was designated “liable to flood”. Now they have nothing.”

The link to donate and support the victims is: https://www.gofundme.com/help-the-people-of-burnfoot.
