Donegal motorists travelling to Dublin tomorrow have been advised to leave extra time as major diversions will be in place on the main route.

Aughnacloy in Co. Tyrone will be closed to traffic on Saturday 26th August 2017 between 10.30am and 5.15pm, due to parades in the area.

Road users are advised to drive carefully and follow diversions:

Motorists travelling between Donegal/Derry and Dublin on the A5 will divert via Ballygawley, Dungannon (A4), Armagh (A29), and Newry (A28/A1).

If travelling north from Monaghan towards the A5, divert via Middletown (N12), Armagh (A3), Dungannon (A29) and Ballygawley (A4).

AA Roadwatch advises motorists to keep in mind that works are also taking place on The Mall West in Armagh, with a one-way system in place for southbound traffic. Diversions are via College Hill and Drumadd Rd.

Bus Eireann have said the Route 32 will follow diversions and operate in both directions between Ballygawley and Monaghan via Clogher.

Monaghan County Council have said they will have signage in place.
