The Donegal County Board this morning confirmed the five names who are in the running to succeed Rory Gallagher as the Donegal senior football manager.

The County Board held a meeting last night to discuss the selection process.

Following the meeting, which is understood to have gone into the late hours, the Board today confirmed that Sean Paul Barrett, Declan Bonner, Cathal Corey, Gary McDaid and Seamus McEnaney are in the running.

While Bonner, Corey, McDaid and Barrett are all said to have been nominated by clubs in Donegal, it is understood that McEnaney applied for the position.

A five-person selection committee was put in place, but the Board have not divulged the identity of the committee, who are set to begin interviews early next week.
