Open auditions planned to find young cast for Christmas show

An Grianán Theatre are holding open auditions this Sun 17 September to cast their Christmas show – The Nutcracker.

Like last year’s Christmas show Peter Pan, this will be a youth led production so they are looking for male and female performers from ages 8 to 21.

This year’s production is a fresh new version of the magical Christmas tale The Nutcracker.  It will blend drama, comedy and dance in a colourful story for family and school audiences. Please note that this is not a ballet and they are looking to cast actors as well as dancers.

Auditions are this Sunday 17 Sept and they will be seeing children ages 8 to 11 between 10am to 12pm and over 12s from 12pm to 2pm.

There is no need to prepare anything in advance.

If you are not available for the performance dates please do not audition – The Nutcracker will be performed from Tues 12 to Fri 15 December at 11am and Sat 16 Dec at 2pm and 7pm.

The Nutcracker is produced by An Grianán Theatre Productions in association with Zona Dance Co. Adapted by Guy Le Jeune, directed by Jessica Peoples.
