Fancy seeing ‘Life on the Ledge’ in Letterkenny?

As part of ‘Culture Night’ 2017, the County Donegal Heritage Office, Culture Division, Donegal County Council will be hosting a guided nature walk in Letterkenny with Aengus Kennedy of Nature North West on Friday, September 22 starting at St. Eunan’s Cathedral at 6:30 p.m.
 
This short walking tour entitled ‘Life on the Ledge’ will highlight the wildlife that survives and thrives in the built environment around us. Aengus Kennedy specialised in Field Ecology at University College Cork, has worked in environmental education for over twenty years and is a heritage specialist on the Heritage Council’s ‘Heritage in Schools’ scheme.

The walk will start at St. Eunan’s Cathedral at 6:30 p.m. and finish on the Main Street at 7:15 p.m. leaving participants free to enjoy the numerous other events taking place in Letterkenny for ‘Culture Night’ including historical re-enactments, heritage open house, traditional building skills, exhibitions, live music, film screenings, literary events, a heritage debate, a hands-on art room, workshops, choir recitals and dance.
