Lauren sums it all up in maths and science!

A Mulroy College student has received the highest results in Science and Maths in the country!

Lauren Mc Ginley completed her Junior Certificate in Mulroy College last June and has been identified by the State Examinations Commission as one of the highest achieving students in Ireland in the Junior Certificate in both Science and Maths.

Lauren has been invited to take part in the Irish Junior Science Olympiad in Dublin City University later this year.

From this event six students will be selected to represent Ireland at the International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO) in Arnhem-Nijegem, The Netherlands and six students will be selected o represent Ireland at the European Union Science Olympiad (EUSO) in Ljubljana, Slovenia next year.

Ms Fiona Temple, Principal of Mulroy College said the school is absolutely delighted for Lauren.

“She has worked extremely hard to achieve this. She has a real interest in Science and Maths and with the support of the great staff here in Mulroy College she is excelling in this field. We wish her every success at the Olympiad and we are extremely proud of her.”
