Illies man Moran to face Słomiński in Elite international in Poland

Illies Golden Gloves’ Darryl Moran faces Jakub Słomiński this evening in an Elite international in Kielce, Poland.

Ireland and Poland face off in a ten-bout card with Moran and Słomiński getting proceedings underway at around 5pm.

Light-flyweight Moran had to withdraw from the European Under-22s in March due to a hand injury.

Moran won his ninth Irish title in January as he claimed the Irish U22 crown with a win over Jordan Leahy, but then lost out to Blaine Dobbins from Derry in the Irish Elite final in February.

Moran is part of a stellar Irish team that is in Poland while his Illies GG coach Eamonn Duffy is also part of the Irish squad. Duffy is one of the coaches who have traveled for the tournament.
