This Friday a night of local music and craic will take place to help raise further vital funds needed to support local victims of the recent floods in Inishowen.

The event, Inishowen’s Own, will feature some of Donegal’s best musicians, including The Henry Girls, Sailor Bill, Inishowen Gospel Choir, Great White Lies and Tommy Conway.

All proceeds from the event will go directly to the Irish Red Cross which will continue to bring much-needed relief to anyone that needs it in the local area.

A spokesperson for Inishowen’s Own says: “We’ve organised this event in the hope to bring the local community in Carndonagh together after these hard times. We have had kind raffle prizes donated by local businesses which will be up for grabs on the night.

“The floods caused severe devastation for families, businesses, and infrastructure, in the area and it has had a massive effect on the wider Donegal community at home and family and friends abroad.”

The event will take place upstairs in Simpsons Bar/Tul Na Rí, Carndonagh.

Admission is just €15 and tickets are available from Simpson’s Bar & Restaurant in Carndonagh, online from Eventbrite, or you can pay at door.

For more, visit Inishowen’s Own Facebook page.
