A man has been taken to Sligo University Hospital following a fall at Slieve League yesterday afternoon.

A spokesperson for Malin Head Coast Guard told Donegal Daily that they received a report that a man had fallen and injured himself at the popular tourist site at around 12:30 pm.

The Rescue 118 Helicopter was called to the scene as well as Killybegs Coast Guard.

The helicopter attended the scene as the man fell at a spot which was highly inaccessible for the ambulance.

Fortunately, the man’s injuries are not believed to be serious, sustaining a broken ankle.
