A Feast of Flavor at Restaurant Sage

Much has been made here in the county of the news that according to National Geographic magazine 2017, Donegal is the coolest place on the planet to visit this year and at Restaurant Sage we have some pretty cool news of our own.

To add to our fabulous facelift, completed in July, we have a new face in the form of Head Chef, Helen Burke.

 

Helen was born and raised right here in Letterkenny, trained as a chef in Killybegs and took a big step up the culinary ladder when she was invited to join the team at Nevin Maguire’s restaurant, MacNean House in Co. Cavan in 2014.

Helen’s desire to return to her native Co. Donegal was our good fortune and we are delighted to welcome her to Restaurant Sage.

Helen is keen to continue the tradition here at Restaurant Sage of using locally sourced food to showcase her skills in producing food that will excite and satisfy our discerning diners.

 

To complement Helen’s delicious food, we have an extensive wine list along with beers and spirits sourced from a list of countries National Geographic itself would be proud off! As well as our impressive A La Carte menu, we offer a fixed price €22.00 Early Evening menu and we are very proud to introduce our ‘Eat Right, Be Bright’ Children’s menu.

It is always our pleasure to tailor a menu for special events such as birthdays, anniversaries, graduations or any occasion that merits a celebration.

We are currently planning our Christmas Party Menus.

Our Autumn/Winter opening hours are: Tuesday to Saturday from 5.00 to 9.30pm and are delighted to accommodate private parties and functions outside of these hours.
