Carndonagh’s nine-time Irish champion Labhaoise Clarke has been selected as part of the Irish squad for this year’s AIBA World Youth Women’s Championships in India.

Next month, Clarke will compete in the Championships in Guwahati.

The Carn lightweight competed at the European Youth Championships in June, losing out to Belarus’s Ulyana Yesipena in the round of 16.

Clarke’s weight, 57kgs, is one of those with places up for grabs for the 2018 Youth Olympics in Buenos Aires.
