The Courthouse Bistro in Lifford have announced a wonderful idea for people with dementia and their families.

On the second Wednesday of every month, they will be hosting a tea party between 11am and 1pm.

The cuppa is free of charge – and they’re even offering freshly baked scones!

There will be music, chat, information, and the chance to meet others and share experiences.

It is estimated that 55,000 people in Ireland are living with dementia, and half a million of us have a family member with the condition.

Dementia can lead to feelings of isolation, and according to UnderstandTogether.ie dementia is not simply a health issue but a social issue as well, making this special Wednesday tea party a fantastic way to catch up with friends and enjoy a nice hot cuppa.

For further information, you can get in touch with Bríd on 084 9141773 or Brenda on 086 3696145.
