People across Donegal are remarking on the unseasonably warm weather as many cautiously step out this morning hoping to avoid bad luck.
This Friday the 13th is an oddly balmy day in Ireland – reaching extreme highs which usually belong in the summertime.
Weather gauges reported 18C in parts of the county on this very mild morning. Hot it may be, but it’s still like a typical summer’s day here in the north west – windy, rainy and warm!
Met Eireann forecast a cloudy day with rain and drizzle turning heavy later on. It will become brighter in the afternoon with average highs of 16-17C. Tonight will turn cooler with temperatures of 10-12C.
There’s no denying the heat today is unseasonal – on this day last year in Donegal we had maximum highs of 13C.
