UPDATE: Rochelle has been found safe and well

A search has been launched for an Inishowen schoolgirl who has been missing for more than 24 hours.

The family of Rochelle Logue say the 17-year-old Buncrana schoolgirl left for school yesterday.

Her dad Allen has issued a heartfelt Facebook post appealing for any information on her whereabouts.

Rochelle did not arrive at Crana College and her family are desperate to find her whereabouts.

Both the Gardai and the PSNI have been informed of the situation.

Dad Allen said “If anybody has seen Rochelle or knows of her whereabouts can you please let us know. She left for school yesterday morning and got the bus into Buncrana, where she went to a friends house to collect some things and hasn’t been seen since.

“She never made it to school and has not been seen for over 24hrs. She doesn’t have her phone or any money with her, as far as we aware. The Gardai and PSNI have been informed, as they suspect she may be staying in the Buncrana or Derry area.”
