The end of an era as Judy and Lance turn key on CT Ball after 150 years

After 148 years in business, Judy and Lance Ball have shut the doors of CT Ball at 52 Upper Main Street for the last time, turning the key on a piece of history in Letterkenny.

After being established almost 150 years ago by Lance’s great-grandfather, Robert McCullagh, Lance himself became a jeweller in 1953.

Selling watches, jewellery, and fine china, the closure of the shop is a sad occasion for Letterkenny and the wider Donegal community.

With countless couples choosing their engagement and wedding rings at Judy and Lance’s shop over the years, Letterkenny pays a fond farewell to CT Ball.

Please Note: CT Ball is closing, but R. McCullagh’s jewellers remain open for business.
