Letterkenny Shopping Centre was jam-packed earlier today as hundreds of fans turned up to meet soccer star Shay Given.

World-renowned goalie Given was doing a book signing of his new autobiography ‘Any Given Saturday.’

Fans were delighted to get to chat to the Lifford star and to get his autograph as a special keepsake.

A post shared by Shay Given (@no1shaygiven) on Oct 22, 2017 at 7:05am PDT

Given says: “WOW… I’m humbled. Donegal… my favourite place on the planet.

“Thanks to everyone who came out to see me and support my book today. It means so much to me, especially in my home county.

“I’m so proud to be from this amazing county, the fans here have supported me beyond all belief my whole career and today was no different. Thank you!”

Given’s long-awaited autobiography was released on Thursday and can be bought at Easons, The Book Depository, and Amazon. The book includes forewords by Robbie Keane and Alan Shearer, and is sure to be on the shelves of footie fans across the globe.
