Local mum issues warning after girls terrified in ‘sickening’ incident

A Donegal mother has shared a chilling warning after two girls were intimidated and frightened near Clonmany, Inishowen.

A silver car approached two young girls yesterday (Monday) afternoon at 3.30pm and drove behind them slowly before revving the engine and taking off – terrifying the girls.

This incident occurred on the road outside Clonmany, near the new graveyard, and is believed to be connected to similar cases involving the same car across the county.

A local mother issued a warning on Facebook about a Silver Passat car, saying she was ‘sick to her stomach’ and there have been several suspicious incidents in the town involving the car.

After revving the engine at the girls, the mother said the car roared off and pulled into the new graveyard. The girls ran terrified into a nearby medical centre for safety.  The events have been reported to local gardai.

“Please do not let your kids walk alone main roads or back roads. Mine won’t be out again,” the mother said.
