Strand Rovers score TEN to advance in Ulster Shield

Strand Rovers hammered Killylough 10-1 to move into the next round of the Ulster Shield with Ryan Greene’s first-half hat-trick sending the Maghery men on their way.

Strand scored in the opening minutes of the game from a corner kick where Ryan Greene scored from five yards out.

Strand scored a second goal from a corner kick again it was an own goal. Strand scored three more times before half time with Ryan Greene scoring his second and third goals of the game for his hat-trick and older brother Conor Greene on the scoring act yet again.

Second half was a fast start from the Maghery men scoring two quick goals from distance with Darragh Hanlon from 25 yards.

James McCole added one from the sideline, dinking the goalkeeper of his line.

Strand scored another goal from John Walsh. The visitor scored a goal late on but it was eight one at that stage. Strand scored two more goals in the last minutes from Darragh Hanlon and Shane O Donnell.
