They might have reached the Ulster Junior semi-final with a win over Ballymachugh, but Matthew Crossan says Naomh Colmcille made life unnecessarily difficult for themselves.

John Fullerton’s goal and four points from Crossan saw Naomh Colmcille through to their first ever Ulster semi-final, getting past the 14-man Cavan side.

“We needed the goal and we got the wee bit of luck tonight,” Crossan said.

“The goal gave us momentum. The only positive is that we got the result. It was probably one of our poorest performances.

“We should have reacted a bit quicker – it took us too long to get out of the blocks.”
