Donegal County Council has deployed its fleet of gritters onto the county’s roads tonight.

With temperatures plunging to freezing, motorists are being asked to take extra care.

People are also being warned to keep an eye for black ice on the roads, especially in the early hours of the morning.

While many main roads will be gritted, secondary roads will not be and people are asked to be vigilant.
