Football star creates a ‘buzz’ as he signs Eamonn’s charity golf bag!

A local golfer, Portsalon Golf Club member Eamonn Davis, has launched a fundraising draw for the newly established ‘BUMBLEance’ charity in Donegal.

Since launching the initiative, Eamonn has gotten signatures from top celebrities, golfers, politicians, and as of last night footie star Paul McGrath added his name to the now-famous golf bag!

Renowned throughout his playing career with Manchester United, Aston Villa and Republic of Ireland as the best ‘deceptively quick’ centre half in the business, the Irish ‘Black Pearl’, as he was affectionately known, shone as bright as a diamond last night when he attended a Q & A session in The Orchard Inn, Letterkenny.

Former soccer international Paul Mc Grath received a raucous, standing ovation reception at the aforementioned venue when he entered the stage before the kick-off of the international world cup qualifying match between Sweden and Rep.of Ireland and, having watched the first half sitting amongst the packed audience, the pride of Inchicore then enthralled the knowledgeable, sporting crowd during a question and answer analysis on the first half of the game.

But, before the proceedings got underway, Paul took time out to autograph the golf bag which is the first prize in an upcoming grand charity draw in aid of the sick children’s ambulance service, BUMBLEance, which has been organised by local golfer and Portsalon Golf Club member, Eamonn Davis.

Having spent the day at the Letterkenny Shopping Centre collecting donations for the BUMBLEance fund, Eamonn made his way to the Orchard Inn where proprietor Paddy Crossan duly introduced him to Paul Mc Grath and, on hearing of the sick children’s charity, Paul was only too delighted to add his name to the many stars of soccer, golf, stage and screen entertainers whose autographs Eamonn has already secured on the bag.

Tickets are now on sale at €10 per ticket, books of ten, and with the draw due to take place early December 2017, what a fantastic selection of Christmas presents!

Anyone interested can contact Eamonn on 086-8238753.

BUMBLEance is a children’s national ambulance service, the world’s first interactive service, which delivers safe and comfortable transportation of sick children to and from children’s hospitals, treatment, respite and hospice centres.
