Wonderful occasion as Brother Bosco marks his Golden Jubilee

Friendships were rekindled and memories recaptured on Friday evening as Capuchin Friar Brother Bosco Connolly celebrated his Golden Jubilee at Ards Friary.

Brother Bosco took part in a special celebratory mass to mark the occasion in Ard Mhuire Friary.

Also in attendance was members of Brother Bosco’s family as well as the Bishop of Raphoe Most Reverend Alan McGuckian, S.J and several other members of the clergy from across Donegal.

Brother Bosco pictured with his family members Edmund and Margaret Burke from Cork and Catherine and Con Ryan from Tipperary.

Brother Bosco’s fellow Capuchin Friars traveled from across the country from as far away as Cobh in Co Cork for the occasion.

Brother Bosco spoke and thanked all those who had helped him to reach the occasion of his 50 years as a Capuchin Friar.

After the mass, guests were invited to join Brother Bosco for a meal as well as dancing and singing.
