Letterkenny Institute of Technology fell to a heavy defeat today against IT Sligo.

The Port Road scholars were beaten 6-2 in the Colleges League.

But for goalkeeper Jason McCallion, who was among the better LyIT players, the margin could have been even greater.

LyIT had to play much of the second half with only ten men after Ryan Connolly was sent off for dissent in the 56th minute.

Codey Brogan and Dean Larkin netted for LyIT.
