Wonderful Whoriskey Christmas lights all set for switch-on

The legendary Whoriskey Christmas lights display is set to draw hundreds of locals to a Kerrykeel home this Friday.

Mary and Michael Whoriskey have turned their house into another marvel this year and are inviting everyone to come witness the spectacle being switched-on this Friday, November 24th.

A feel-good festive event is planned from 7pm, where carol singers will perform and Santa Claus himself will be there to do the honours and light up the home at 7.30pm.

All families are welcome and kids can meet Santa before sending their letters to the North Pole in a post box at the house.

Mary and Michael have been putting on a Christmas display for almost two decades, raising a massive €51,000 for great charities over the years.

The chosen charities to benefit from this year’s light display are Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital Crumlin and Fanad Alzheimer’s Social Day Fanad Day Centre. Donations can be made at the house.

Last year Mary and Michael donated a fantastic €3,200 each to Pieta House Northwest and the Mevagh Fire Service after raising €6,400 from their display in 2016, which you can view below:
