Loreto Milford was well represented at the regional championships of the prestigious ISTA Senior Science Quiz as two talented teams from the school took part.
In the regional heat, students Ronan McCarron, Matthew McGeever and Eoin Kelly came joint third and Bridget Moran, Liam Orr and Niamh McDevitt won the quiz overall!
Bridget, Liam and Niamh will now go on to represent Donegal in the All-Ireland final tomorrow in Trinity College Dublin.
Tomorrow’s event will be hosted by Dr Jennifer Cleary from RTE Insiders!
There will also be spot prizes after each round in the National Final by ISTA, IOP, ICI, Folens, CJFallon, RSC, StudyClix & SEAI. The main cash prizes for the top 5 teams will be made by BioPharmaChemical Ireland – the main sponsor.
This year the chosen Charity associated with the quiz is the Irish Kidney Association.
This talented team certainly have their ‘ion’ the top prize – good luck!
