Eagle-eyed staff at The Cope in Dungloe have managed to collar a cheeky thief.

The brazen thief walked into the shop and stole a decorative snowman.

The thief then dragged the item onto the street as he planned his getaway.

However, not a man to ‘paws’ for thought about his own safety, staff member Pat Ryan dashed after the criminal.

And quick as a flash, he managed to collar the thief outside and save Christmas.

The would-be thief left the scene with his tail between his legs.

Simply click on the video to see the daring raid.
