Kildrum landed a big coup as much sought-after Dundalk star Patrick McEleney joined the club as a special guest for the function.

Former Kildrum player and current Finn Harps captain Ciaran Coll was also a special guest to aid in the presentation.

Kildrum Tigers Chairman Pat Coll and Local Sinn Féin County Councillor Gary Doherty addressed the function which saw the Station Road Park club toast a historic season.

Republic of Ireland senior international history-maker Tyler Toland was honoured by her local club for her magnificent exploits in 2017.

The Kildrum Tigers U19s, who defeated Norwich City in the Foyle Cup final, were honoured for their achievements.

The Tigers U15s, who had a trophy-laden season, including a memorable win over Glenavon to scoop victory in the Galway Cup, were there in their numbers to celebrate a year that also saw wins in the North West Cup, the Ronnie Ballard Cup and the Under-15 League.

Kildrum’s U13s were finalists in the Plate at the Galway Cup and finalists in the Johnny Irvine Cup in the season gone by while the recently-launched Under-7 teams have proved a huge hit.

Kildrum Tigers Secretary Chris McNulty was MC for the event, while Sean Coyle of the D&D, Donegal Boxing Board President Peter O’Donnell and former Kildrum and Finn Harps players Kevin McHugh, Maurice Toland and Gary Crossan were among the large crowd to turn out for the function.
