Listen: Magical tour to continue for Naomh Colmcille’s ‘Red and White Army’

Darina Friel surveyed the delirious scenes around her and came to the quick conclusion that the ‘tour isn’t stopping for a good while yet;’

The Naomh Colmcille Chairperson saw her club reach a first ever All-Ireland semi-final following a narrow win over Dunedin Connollys in Edinburgh.

The sight of the droves of red and white-clad supporters around the modest venue in the heart of the Scottish capital was enough to warm her heart – and the ever-growing ‘Red and White Army’ aren’t about to halt their march.

“It’s phenomenal,” she said.

“These boys are unreal. It was touch and go, but the icing on the cake was that goal by Ryan McErlean.

“We had just two weeks to prepare for this, but the support was phenomenal, two weeks from Christmas.

“It’s Naomh Colmcille on tour – and the tour isn’t stopping for a good while yet’.
