Friends of Michael McGrath to host fundraising table quiz

A table quiz will be held in Letterkenny on Thursday 14th December in aid of local father Michael McGrath’s cancer treatment.

Emmet and Maria Rushe (Rushe Fitness and The S-Mum) are inviting all to join the fun event in Arena7 Letterkenny and support the fund.

Michael McGrath travelled to Austria this week after a fast-paced community fundraising campaign raised over €120,000 for Immunotherapy Treatment to help him beat stage four bowel cancer.

Michael needs €150,000 for the specialist treatment and various events are being held all over Donegal to ensure he can make the total. A steady stream of donations have been coming into his online campaign this past fortnight:  https://www.gofundme.com/a-future-for-michael

Michael told Donegal Daily today how he has been overwhelmed by the love and support he has received from all back home.  This Table Quiz is one such event that is hoped will drive up more donations.

The Table Quiz begins at 8.30pm on Thursday 14th December in Arena 7. Donal Kavanagh will be Quizmaster, and there is a maximum of 6 per team. Cost: €5 per person. Every penny goes towards the fund.
