Brave Letterkenny man Michael McGrath has said he is feeling really strong and positive as he continues his groundbreaking treatment to beat cancer.

Father-of-one, Michael, has captured the hearts of the Donegal public after developing bowel cancer.

A fundraising campaign https://www.gofundme.com/a-future-for-michael  to get Michael specialist Immunotherapy Treatment in Austria has so far managed to raise almost €120,000 of the €150,000 needed.

Speaking to Donegal Daily, Michael said things are going really well since he landed last Saturday.

He said “Things are going really well over here in Vienna at the minute, the clinic is amazing.

“I’m attending the clinic every day from 9 to 5 and feeling really strong and positive.

“Naturally, I’m missing everyone back home especially wee Senán but I’m keeping up to date with all the fundraising activities that are going on.

He added “I hear Letterkenny and the whole county has gone into overdrive for me which is quite overwhelming.

Once again thanks for all the love and support and this would not be possible without you all. Thumbs up and lets beat this together.”
