Kind-hearted students to donate proceeds of Christmas Concert to Michael McGrath fund

The students of Finn Valley College are set to donate the proceeds of Saturday afternoon’s Christmas Concert to the Michael McGrath fund.

All proceeds from the 2:30 pm matinee on Saturday will go towards securing life-saving medical treatment for Letterkenny man Michael.

The concert, which takes place at the Balor Theatre in Ballybofey, hopes to give Michael’s campaign a boost.

Michael made the trip to Vienna along with his sister Bernadette and Mary to begin immunotherapy treatment for stage four bowel cancer. The popular teacher will stay in the Austrian capital for two weeks.

The total cost of the treatment is €150,000, and a GoFundMe page has been set up to help cover the cost. To date, €117,000 has been raised.

So why not get down to the Balor Theatre this Saturday afternoon?

This year’s theme is country, with foot-tapping and finger-clicking guaranteed.

Booking is strongly advised, so log on to the Balor website or contact the Box Office on 074 91 31840.

If you can’t make it on Saturday but would still like to donate, you can help Michael on his journey by visiting his GoFundMe. Whether it’s a fiver or €500, all donations are greatly appreciated by Michael and his family.
