A young Letterkenny woman and her sisters shocked their mother this week with an early Christmas homecoming – catching the precious moment on camera.
Natalie Sweeney had been living in America for a year and hadn’t been home in Donegal since, so it was a special moment to be reunited with her mum Rosemary this week. Natalie had pretended she wasn’t coming home until next week, so it was clearly a huge surprise for all when she arrived in the sitting room.

Natalie enlisted her sisters Karlie and Amy to help her keep the big secret of her homecoming. However, their granny Katie McFadden was almost as shocked as Rosemary was, who you can see by the fireplace.
Natalie was welcomed home to Donegal with a lot of hugs, tears and laughter – but she tells Donegal Woman it took a good ten minutes for her mum to stop crying!
