The Cadbury Christmas Parade is making a very special appearance in Donegal Town on Sunday 17th December from 5pm.

The parade is one of the highlights of this year’s ‘Cadvent’ celebrations, which will bring families from across the county to the town centre for a magical display of floats and fun.

The evening spectacle will tell the story of a young child’s dream that takes him on a magical journey to meet the Master of Joy.

The story will be brought to life with a wonderful array of wacky floats, novel characters and creative entertainment that brings to life the magic of Christmas through a child’s eyes! Just look at all the fun to be had:

Donegal Town is welcoming the parade with great celebrations. Santa Claus will be in town at the Central Hotel before the parade.

From 2pm to 5pm this Sunday, Santa will be greeting children from the Central Hotel Balcony before the parade arrives at 5pm.

Cadbury wants everyone to do their bit to spread the festive spirit this year. Every person that tweets using #Cadvent during the month of December will help to push the dial on the giant Cadbury Joy-o-Meter, revealing a new prize to be given away each day in the countdown to Christmas.

Cadbury fans can follow all the action on Cadbury’s social channels where there will be daily prizes and giveaways for the best use of the hashtag #Cadvent.

Cadbury Cadvent ambassador and former Westlife sensation Kian Egan said “I am delighted to be on board with Cadvent this year. Cadbury have loads of great family activities planned for the month of December which will help to get everyone into the Christmas spirit.”

Speaking at the launch, Jonathan Ryan, brand manager with Cadbury, said “We are so excited to be launching Cadbury Cadvent for the third year today and think that this year’s activities are going to be great fun for the whole family to take part in. Christmas is about families spending time together and the parades are the perfect way to do this.

“Each year, our Cadvent Countdown allows us to bring the excitement and anticipation of Christmas to life, and we hope that this year will be bigger and better than ever!”
