People have a fantastic chance to kick-start 2018 by taking part in the annual Atlantic Drive Walk/Run in aid of Our Lady’s Hospital for Sick Children in Crumlin on New Year’s Day.

Last year this walk raised €17,582.63 and to date this walk has raised a staggering €301,375 for sick kids.

This is the 18th year of the run, with the event going from strength to stength each year.

The walk begins at the Singing Pub in Downings at 12 noon, before participants do a twelve kilometer loop before making their way back to the pub for soup and sandwiches. Minerals and sweets will also be given along the way!

This event is a great way to start the new year and shake off the cobwebs!

The Civil Defence and the Gardaí are on board this year again, and you might even get a lift with them!

For sponsorship cards you can get in touch with Eleanor on 086 8412070, Sophia  on 087 2054298, or
Darren on 087 121 4019. You can also make a donation on the day.
