Picture Special: Cadbury parade brings sweet joy to Donegal Town

A spectacle of joy and Christmas cheer arrived at the Diamond in Donegal Town this Sunday evening.

Huge crowds came out to witness the Cadbury ‘Cadvent’ Christmas parade, which was a sparkling purple celebration of the season.

The enthusiastic Master of Joy led the festivities, while giant gingerbread men, dancers, St Catherine’s marching band and a purple-suited Santa Claus were just some of the sights in the display.  Competition winner Molly Anne Sharkey was the honoured Joy Hero of the evening.

It was a great event for young and old to come out and get into the Christmas spirit – and enjoy some chocolate treats too!
