Donegal County Council will have gritters out on many routes across Donegal tonight as temperatures drop to 0 degrees.
After an unsettled New Year’s Day, tonight is due to be cold and clear. Met Eireann have forecast lows of 0 to 3 degrees in Ulster tonight, with some frost expected.

Tuesday morning will bring heavy rain which will clear by the afternoon. Strong winds have been forecast for Tuesday night, which has led to a Status Orange weather warning for the entire country.
Strong winds of 55 to 65 km/h, gusting to 90 to 110 km/h are forecast from Tuesday at 5pm to Wednesday night. A warning of damaging gusts and high seas is in place, with a risk of coastal flooding.
