Students from Loreto Letterkenny have been rewarded for successfully completing a challenge for the Letterkenny Credit Union. The enterprising students generated a boost for the Letterkenny CU Facebook page, and in return were given an educational and financial boost of their own.

Report by Loreto students Olivia Cohen and Katie Hasson:

On the 27th of November, class Fionn from TY were given a task by The Letterkenny Credit Union to gain likes on their Facebook page within a week. We printed posters, asked friends and family to like the page and made an announcement on the intercom for the whole school to hear.

The Credit Union were happy with the likes we got and invited us to visit them for an information talk with the CEO Gordan Randles and Liz Cohen the Credit Union Officer about how The Credit Union operates and how to open an account. We received a cheque for €250 as a reward, we also received backpacks for the students.
