ESB Networks are working to repair a number of faults in Donegal this morning.

50 customers are affected in the Glenties area, where the power went out at 7:47am. The estimated restore time is 11:45am this morning.

Customers in Laghy and Donegal Town are also experiencing power outages. The power cut for 29 customers in Laghy at 1:28am, followed by further outages for 51 customers in Donegal Town at 4:30am.

ESB Networks hope to repair the fault at Donegal Town by 11:15am, and the fault at Laghy by 11:45am.

A spokesperson for ESB Networks says: “We apologise for the loss of supply. We are currently working to repair a fault affecting your premises and will restore power as quickly as possible.”

For realtime information on power outages and repairs, you can visit www.esb.ie/esb-networks/powercheck/.

Due to blustery conditions, ESB Networks are reminding people to stay away from fallen wires.

“Fallen Electricity Wires are live and dangerous. Never approach or touch them. Call our emergency service immediately on 1850 372 999 or 999 or 112,” a spokesperson says.
