The driver of a car involved in a road traffic accident has been taken to Letterkenny University Hospital for treatment.
A spokesperson for the Gardaí tells Donegal Daily that the driver’s injuries are minor.
The single car collision took place in the early hours of this morning (just after midnight) at Ballymaleel, Letterkenny.
The Ramelton road was closed for a period following the crash, but has since reopened.
Motorists are being urged to exercise extreme caution as black ice and frost remains on many roads throughout the county following the cold snap. Donegal County Council asks motorists to “assume that no road is ice free.”
