There are heavy traffic delays in the Lifford/Strabane area this evening following a collision near the Lifford Bridge.

Emergency services are attending to a two vehicle crash which occurred after 5pm today on the Lifford Road.

The incident is not being described as serious, however the bridge has been closed until further notice.

Traffic is said to be backed up as far back as Murlog on the N14 Letterkenny Rd and as far as Sion Mills in Co. Tyrone.

Motorists are advised to seek alternative routes.
