Martin Harley and Thaqaffa victorious again at Kempton Park

Martin Harley was back in the winners’ enclosure yesterday evening at Kempton Park.

The Trentagh man steered 11/2 mount Thaqaffa to victory in the 32Red Casino Handicap.

Thaqaffa was backed from 7/1 into 11/2 and showed why under a fine command by Harley. By the mid-way point of the 1mile and four furling race, Thaqaffa moved into contention and took the lead heading for the last furlong.

The Amy Murphy-trained five-year-old had over a length to spare, giving Harley his seventh win of 2018. Harley also won on Thaqaffa earlier in January, also at Kempton Park.
