Donegal Death Notices – Rest in Peace

Donegal death notices for today, Sunday, January 28.

 

John Bernard (Bert) CASSIDY
The unexpected death occurred of John (Bert) Cassidy on the 14th January 2018 while abroad. Late of Derrybeg; Ballina, Killaloe, Co. Clare and Ballybofey, Co. Donegal. Sadly missed by his loving wife Anna, sons David, Shane and Robert, sisters Lorraine, Clare, Shannagh and Cróna, brother Louis, aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, relatives and friends.

Reposing at the home of PJ Burke, Turlough, Bellharbour, Co. Clare on Sunday, the 28th January, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Removal on Monday to arrive to St. Patrick’s Church, New Quay, Co. Clare for requiem Mass at 1 p.m. Burial afterwards at Corcomroe Abbey. Family flowers only please, donations if desired to the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust.

 

John DUFFY
The death has occurred of John Duffy, Umlagh, Carrigart, Donegal.

Reposing at his residence until 10pm tonight, Sunday. Funeral Mass on Monday, January 29th, at 11am in St John the Baptist, Carrigart. Cremation on Tuesday, January 30th, in Lakeland Crematorium, Co Cavan, at 2pm. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu, if desired, to The Kidney Dialysis and the Donegal Hospice.

 

Noel MC DERMOTT
The tragic death has occurred, due to a road traffic collision, of Noel Mc Dermott, Chapel Road, Brinlack and formerly of Letterkenny.

His remains are reposing at his late residence in Brinlack, with wake from 12 noon today, Sunday. Funeral Mass in St. Colmcille’s Church, Knockfola, on Tuesday at 11am, with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only, please. Donations in lieu to Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Ireland and Donegal Hospice.

 

Jeremy STEVENS
The death has occurred of Jeremy Stevens, London, and Ballyliffin, Donegal.

Prayers took place at his late residence earlier today Sunday, 28th January, with burial afterwards in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Clonmany. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired, to Donegal Down Syndrome.

 

Gerry HOUGH
The death has occurred of Gerry Hough, Ranny, Kerrykeel, Donegal.

Removal took place today, Sunday, at 2.15pm to St Columba’s Church, Massmount for Requiem Mass at 3pm. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Donations in lieu of flowers if desired to Heart & Stroke Foundation. House private from 10pm this evening.
