The town of Glenties will come to a standstill today for the funeral of Louise Furey.

The 27-year-old died on January 20 while on holiday in Thailand.

Louise suffered a fall from a balcony in Koh Samui.

The much-loved young woman, who worked in children’s services in the Channel Islands, was just two days into her holiday with boyfriend Sam when the tragedy occurred.

Her body was flown home to Ard Patrick earlier this week.

She will be laid to rest today following her funeral Mass at St Conal’s Church.
