Motorists are urged to plan their journeys in advance and expect delays due to the temporary road closure at Tircallan commencing this Friday evening (Feb 2nd).
A section of the N13 road between the Kilross Junction and Stranorlar will be closed to traffic from Friday 7pm to Monday, 5th Feb at 7am.
The weekend diversions are in place due to roads workers carrying out culvert replacement works in the area.
Local diversions will be in place via Convoy and Casltefinn. Primary traffic and HGVs are advised to travel via Lifford (N14).
The alternative routes for the duration of the closures are as follows:
- For primary and HGV diversions the route will be Letterkenny (N14/N13 – Dry Arch Roundabout) – Lifford (N14) – Ballybofey (N15)
- For local diversion: Kilross (N13) – Convoy (R236) – Castlefinn – Ballybofey (N15)
Bus Eireann has notified customers that the road closure will affect routes 64. 480, 494 and 491 and although local diversions will be in place, delays of up to 45 minutes may occur.
A second temporary closure is planned for 7pm Friday 9th February 2018 until 7am on Monday 12th February 2018.
