Listen: Katy Herron confident Donegal will learn from early ‘naivety’

Katy Herron says the Donegal ladies will come good ‘when the time is right’.

It took a nerveless kick by Yvonne Bonner to grab a point for Donegal on Sunday against Galway in Glenfin.

Herron, one of a strong Glenfin contingent, that also included Bonner, on the Donegal team, has seen it all in the green and gold and knows judgement is some way off yet.

“We were lucky not to lose it in the end,” Herron reflected.

“We fought hard. It’s a lesson learned. Galway were a different style, they were very direct and we did well to keep them out.

“We panicked a wee bit and that’s naivety on our part. We still have a lot to learn.”
