Treble joy for Donegal darts teams at West Coast Challenge

There was treble joy for Donegal’s darts teams with a clean sweep at the West Coast Challenge at the weekend.

Donegal came home with wins in the men’s, ladies and youth competitions at the Breaffy Woods Hotel in Castlebar on Saturday.

For the Donegal men, it was an eleventh success in a competition they’ve been dominant in.

Donegal came through a group that involved Clare, Limerick and Sligo. The Donegal men overcame Mayo 7-5 in the semi-final with Declan Quinn landing a 71 checkout to win.

Quinn nailed double top to win the final against Sligo, also on a 7-5 scoreline, to complete a fine run for Donegal.

The Donegal Youths landed their third title in a row with a 3-1 win over Roscommon in the final, led by captain Owen Murray from Ramelton.
