Gardai have launched an investigation after a man was viciously stabbed in Letterkenny.
The man was attacked following an incident in the Fortwell area of the town.
It is understood the man is a Polish national.
The man was rushed to Letterkenny University Hospital but his condition is not yet known.
However, it is is not understood that the man’s injuries are life-threatening.
Gardai have cordoned off the area of the attack and are carrying out a full forensic examination of the scene.
